You could say Schad was born with motorcycling in his blood. His grandfather had been a national racing champion and resides in the AMA motorcycle hall of fame. The VanLeeuwen’s grew up on two wheels and after Santa showed up with that Suzuki JR50 Schad was hooked.

Speed Addicts was founded in 2003 out of the family garage. Schad’s love for motorcycles and technology sparked a passion project that soon became his life's work.
