HJC welcomes a new addition to the i-series lineup, and one for the dirt riders: the new i50. 50 percent aggressive, 50 percent stylish, this new dirt lid is a perfect blend of radical. The equal parts form and function in the i50 bring new innovation and design that puts you in a position to out-perform and turn a lotta heads in the process. Like sky rockets in flight…throttle out and let it whip.</p> \n<p>Supercross-bound or MX only, dirt is dirt and it can hurt, no matter how you look at it. HJC knows how hard you dirt riders push yourselves and that’s why they developed the i50. Uniquely innovative, they’ve managed to create a new technology, coined SLID (Sliding Layer Impact Distribution), to help reduce injury when your head hits the dirt, the common denominator amongst dirt riders. It allows movement during impact which slows down rotational force, vital in reducing injury. Like many HJC lids, this one is also CAD designed and constructed of Advanced Polycarbonate, keeping it compact, durable, and race-ready. No nonsense or excess fluff, simply performance-forward. The new i50 design brings a larger and repositioned eye port, with adjustable goggle band channel, for a catered preference and optimized visibility, all things necessary to shred the blue grooves with ease. The visor also brings an extended design to better combat the roost if you’re not the one dishing it. You know how that goes, dirt happens, and HJC has you handled to handle it, so handle it.</p> \n<p>Riding dirt can be rigorous. Blood, sweat, and sometimes tears. Having a lid that can soak all that up and manage to keep you together is pretty sweet. The i50 has the same Advanced Channeling Ventilation System (ACS) that their most prestigious race lids have, including the ultra-cooling Supercool interior. Long motos deserve a freshness all the way to the finish line because you earned that dubya. As a rider or racer, you know the importance of keeping it cool when the going gets tough. Uniquely innovative, they’ve managed to create a new technology, coined SLID (Sliding Layer Impact Distribution), to help reduce injury when your head hits the dirt, the common denominator amongst dirt riders. It allows movement during impact which slows down rotational force, vital in reducing injury. Like many HJC lids, this one is also CAD designed and constructed of Advanced Polycarbonate, keeping it compact, durable, and race-ready. No nonsense or excess fluff, simply performance-forward. The new i50 design brings a larger and repositioned eye port, with adjustable goggle band channel, for a catered preference and optimized visibility, all things necessary to shred the blue grooves with ease. The visor also brings an extended design to better combat the roost if you’re not the one dishing it.
